Educational Media Foundation (EMF) is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Associate Systems Engineer to join our growing IT team. In this role, you'll play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our data center and cloud infrastructure, ensuring it seamlessly delivers the resources needed to fulfill our mission: creating compelling media that inspires and fosters a meaningful relationship with Christ. You'll learn from experienced engineers, gain valuable hands-on experience, and contribute to a collaborative and faith-based work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of experience in a technical support or systems administration role (a plus).
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware and software fundamentals, including networking, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and basic cloud computing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • A heart for EMF's mission and values.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior engineers with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of on-premise data center and cloud-based infrastructure and systems.
  • Learn and apply infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles to automate deployments and manage configurations.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting tasks to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential problems.
  • Document technical processes and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to internal users as needed.
